Accident – Death – Obituary News : Tragic Accident in Feni Leaves Two Dead and Three Injured

FENI, Bangladesh – In a devastating incident that occurred today in the Fulgazi upazila of Feni, two individuals lost their lives and three others sustained injuries when a pickup truck collided with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw.

The deceased have been identified as Saiful Islam, a 25-year-old auto-rickshaw driver from Haripushkarani area in the upazila, and Anas, an 8-month-old infant and son of Akram Hossain from Chiora village in Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident took place in the Shanirhat area when a speeding pickup truck crashed into the auto-rickshaw, which was approaching from the opposite direction. The impact of the collision resulted in the immediate death of Saiful Islam and the young infant. Three other passengers in the auto-rickshaw suffered critical injuries.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Hasim of Fulgazi Police Station, quoting local residents, stated that the injured victims were initially rushed to Feni General Hospital for medical treatment. However, due to the seriousness of their condition, they have now been transferred to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital for further care.

The authorities have apprehended the driver of the pickup truck in connection with the accident. The investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the collision.
