Accident – Death – Obituary News : Music Mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs Faces New Sexual Abuse Allegations

Music mogul and entrepreneur Sean “Diddy” Combs has been hit with two more accusations of sexual abuse, just one week after settling a lawsuit with singer Cassie that included allegations of rape and physical abuse. The new lawsuits were filed on Thursday, right before the expiration of the Adult Survivors Act, a New York law that allows victims of sexual abuse a one-year window to file civil action regardless of the statute of limitations.

The lawsuits provide detailed accounts of sexual assault, beatings, and forced drugging allegedly committed by Combs in the early 1990s. At the time, Combs was a talent director, party promoter, and rising figure in New York City’s hip-hop community. One of the accusers, Joi Dickerson, claims she was a 19-year-old student at Syracuse University when she agreed to meet Combs at a restaurant in Harlem in 1991. According to the filing, after their date, Combs intentionally drugged her, brought her home, and sexually assaulted her. Shockingly, Combs allegedly videotaped the assault without her knowledge and later shared it with several friends in the music industry. This public exposure sent Dickerson into a downward spiral, contributing to severe depression that ultimately led her to drop out of college.

In a separate lawsuit filed on the same day, an unnamed woman accused Combs and R&B singer Aaron Hall of sexually assaulting her and a friend, followed by physical abuse days later. The accuser, identified only as Jane Doe, claims that she and her roommate returned to Hall’s home with Combs after a music industry event in either 1990 or 1991. Jane Doe alleges that she was coerced into having sex with Combs and, as she was getting dressed, was forcibly assaulted by Hall. It was later revealed that her friend had also been forced to have sex with Combs and Hall in another room. The suit states that after Combs finished with Jane Doe, he and Hall switched and began assaulting her friend. Days later, Combs allegedly showed up at the women’s home, choked Jane Doe until she passed out, and attempted to prevent them from speaking out about the abuse.

A spokesperson for Combs has denied the allegations, accusing the two women of exploiting the temporary extension of the statute of limitations provided by the New York law. As of now, there has been no response from Aaron Hall regarding the allegations. The attorney for Jane Doe stated that his client is in the process of gathering medical documents and witness statements to support her case, which was filed just before the statute of limitations deadline.

The lawsuit brought by Joi Dickerson mentions that she filed police reports in both New York and New Jersey after the abuse. However, it remains unclear if any other jurisdictions were involved. Following the assault, Dickerson claims she approached friends in the music industry to confirm the existence of the assault video, but they were too afraid of potential retaliation from Combs to help.

Sean “Diddy” Combs, now 54, went on to found his own record label, Bad Boys Records, and became one of the most influential hip-hop producers and executives in history, working with artists such as Mary J. Blige and Biggie Smalls. These new lawsuits come in the wake of explosive allegations made by Cassie Ventura, who accused Combs of subjecting her to a pattern of abuse during their relationship, which began when she was 19 and he was 37. The allegations include drug use, beatings, and forced participation in sexual acts. The lawsuit was settled for an undisclosed amount just one day after it was filed.

In a statement released by her lawyers, Cassie Ventura expressed her desire to resolve the matter on her own terms, with some level of control. Combs also released a statement, saying, “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.”

As these new allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs unfold, it remains to be seen how they will impact his career and reputation in the music industry.
