Indore, Madhya Pradesh – In a devastating incident, a 23-year-old woman lost her life in a horrific accident when the bike taxi she was riding was struck by a speeding car in the Lasudia police station area on Friday night. The unfortunate incident took place near Lasudia Mori at around 10 pm, as she was returning home from work. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the young woman succumbed to her injuries after a valiant two-hour battle. As the authorities launch an investigation into the matter, they are also recording statements from the grieving family members.

The victim has been identified as Arpita Verma, a resident of British Park Colony near Singapore Township. Arpita, who worked in a beauty parlour, had booked a bike taxi to commute back home after completing her work for the day. Tragically, her journey was cut short when a reckless car collided with her bike taxi, and the driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.

The police have initiated a thorough investigation into the case and have sent the victim’s body for an autopsy to gather crucial evidence. In their pursuit of justice, the authorities will also examine the CCTV footage from the vicinity of the incident to gain further insights into the accident.

In an unrelated incident, another shocking car accident took place on Kanadia Road near Alok Nagar on Friday afternoon. The CCTV footage capturing the accident has now gone viral on social media platforms, showcasing the horrifying moment when a speeding car crashed into an autorickshaw. The collision resulted in the autorickshaw being forcefully pushed for several meters before flipping over. The impact was so severe that the front portions of both vehicles were completely smashed.

Providing an update on the situation, Kanadia police station in-charge KP Yadav stated that the police have confiscated the car involved in the accident. Currently, the authorities are gathering information from the injured auto driver, who is undergoing treatment at a hospital for critical injuries. A case will be registered against the car driver, as per the police.

These unfortunate incidents highlight the importance of road safety and the need for stricter measures to prevent such accidents.
