Meerut, Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking incident that unfolded in Meerut, a man met a tragic end after being allegedly stabbed by a minor acquaintance during a heated dispute over a mobile phone. The accused, who has been apprehended by the police, is said to have succumbed to alcohol addiction.

According to the investigating officer, the victim, identified as Shakir, and the accused were both known for their alcohol dependency. Unfortunately, their drinking session took a dark turn when a disagreement regarding the mobile phone escalated, resulting in Shakir’s untimely demise. The local authorities have promptly registered a case, and the accused is currently in police custody.

“Both Shakir and the accused were known for their alcohol addiction, and the dispute over the mobile phone intensified during their inebriated state, tragically leading to Shakir’s death,” revealed a senior police official. As reported by India Today, a comprehensive investigation is underway, and appropriate legal action will be taken against the perpetrator.

A similar shocking incident occurred in Delhi’s Sangam Vihar area, where a man ruthlessly murdered his friend over a mere Rs 1,000 mobile phone. Following the crime, the accused fled the scene, prompting an intense search operation by the police. The victim, identified as Ramsevak, a 35-year-old resident of Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh, fell victim to this heinous act.

The deceased and the accused used to share a room in Sangam Vihar. A few days prior, the deceased had borrowed his friend’s mobile phone, promising to return it. However, on Tuesday morning, their alcohol consumption sparked another heated argument surrounding the mobile phone. In a fit of rage, the accused repeatedly struck the victim on the head with a brick before fleeing from the scene.

The following day, upon discovering the lifeless body, the landlord immediately notified the authorities, who subsequently arranged for the victim’s post-mortem examination. Currently, the police are diligently conducting raids in various locations across Delhi and Uttar Pradesh in an attempt to apprehend the suspect, but no breakthroughs have been made thus far.

The grieving family of the deceased expressed profound shock at how a friendship could take such a tragic turn over a relatively insignificant possession like a mobile phone, valued at only a thousand rupees.
