Accident – Death – Obituary News :

A man accused of killing a pregnant woman in Wisconsin and concealing her body in a suitcase in 2020 was apprehended on Thursday morning in Gladstone, Missouri. The Gladstone police reported that automated license plate readers detected a vehicle with a stolen license plate passing through the city shortly after midnight on Thursday. Officers located the vehicle, a red Ford Fusion, in a parking lot on Northwest Englewood Road at around 12:34 a.m. The driver of the vehicle initially provided officers with multiple identification cards and several different names. However, the individual was later identified as Jose Eduardo Dominguez-Garcia, a 26-year-old from Chippewa County, Wisconsin. Subsequently, police discovered outstanding warrants against Dominguez-Garcia for charges including first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree intentional homicide of an unborn child, and hiding a corpse, all issued by Chippewa County. Without encountering any resistance, Dominguez-Garcia was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Clay County Detention Center in Missouri, awaiting extradition to Wisconsin.

In their press release, the police highlighted the circumstances surrounding the original case. According to the Leader-Telegram, a local newspaper in the Chippewa Falls area, Dominguez-Garcia stands accused of murdering 25-year-old Rosaly Cindy Chavarria Rodriguez. Rodriguez, who was pregnant at the time, went missing in July 2020. Her body was eventually discovered concealed inside a suitcase at a farmhouse in the town of Wheaton, Wisconsin, in October of the same year. It is believed that Dominguez-Garcia and Rodriguez were colleagues at a nearby restaurant and were romantically involved around the time of her disappearance. Authorities located Dominguez-Garcia’s car in Wisconsin one month after Rodriguez went missing, and upon investigation, they found evidence suggesting that a decomposing body had been stored in the trunk of the vehicle.

During the course of a separate drug investigation, officers received information about a suitcase containing a body on a farm near Wheaton. However, it remains unclear why Dominguez-Garcia was in Gladstone and for how long he had been in the area.
