The suspect, identified as Jose Eduardo Dominguez-Garcia, was arrested on Thursday morning in Gladstone, Missouri, by the Gladstone Police Department.
The arrest came after automated license plate readers detected a vehicle with a stolen license plate passing through the city in the early hours of Thursday. Following the information, officers swiftly located the vehicle, a red Ford Fusion, parked in the 400 block of Northwest Englewood Road at approximately 12:34 a.m.
Upon approaching the driver, law enforcement officers discovered that he possessed multiple identification cards and provided them with several different aliases. Subsequently, the individual was identified as 26-year-old Jose Eduardo Dominguez-Garcia, hailing from Chippewa County, Wisconsin. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Dominguez-Garcia had outstanding warrants issued by Chippewa County, including charges of first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree intentional homicide of an unborn child, and hiding a corpse.

Investigators have determined that Dominguez-Garcia and Rodriguez worked together at a nearby restaurant and were dating at the time of her disappearance. In a chilling turn of events, Dominguez-Garcia’s car was found in Wisconsin approximately a month after Rodriguez went missing. Authorities noted the presence of fluids in the vehicle’s trunk, indicating that it had previously held a decomposing body. As a result, officers conducting a separate drug investigation were alerted to the presence of a suitcase containing a deceased individual on a farm near Wheaton.
The motive behind Dominguez-Garcia’s presence in Gladstone remains unknown, as does the duration of his stay in the area. Law enforcement agencies are actively investigating these aspects of the case to shed light on the suspect’s activities and potential connections.
