Multiple Women Accuse Music Mogul Diddy of Sexual Assault

Renowned music mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs, is facing serious allegations of sexual assault and abuse from multiple women. The latest lawsuits filed against him shed light on disturbing incidents that allegedly occurred in the early 1990s. These accusations come just days after another ex-partner, Cassie Ventura, accused Combs of a pattern of abuse during their relationship.

One of the accusers, Joi Dickerson, claims that she was a 19-year-old student at Syracuse University when she agreed to meet Combs at a restaurant in Harlem in 1991. According to the lawsuit, Combs intentionally drugged her and then sexually assaulted her at his home. Shockingly, the suit alleges that Combs videotaped the assault without her knowledge and later shared it with friends in the music industry. The public exposure of the video allegedly led to severe depression for Dickerson, resulting in hospitalization and her eventual dropout from college.

In a separate lawsuit filed on the same day, an unnamed woman, referred to as Jane Doe, accused Combs and R&B singer Aaron Hall of sexually assaulting her and a friend. The alleged incident occurred after a music industry event in 1990 or 1991 when the accuser and her roommate went to Hall’s home with Combs. The suit claims that Combs coerced Jane Doe into having sex with him, and when she was getting dressed, Hall barged into the room and forced her to have sex with him. The suit further alleges that Combs and Hall switched partners, assaulting Jane Doe’s friend.

The lawsuits also mention an incident where Combs allegedly showed up at the victims’ home days later, attempting to intimidate them into silence. According to the suit, he choked Jane Doe until she lost consciousness. These disturbing allegations paint a troubling picture of Combs’ behavior and abuse of power.

A spokesperson for Combs has denied all the allegations, accusing the accusers of exploiting the temporary extension of the statute of limitations in New York law. Aaron Hall has not responded to inquiries regarding the lawsuit.

Tyrone Blackburn, the attorney for the unnamed accuser, stated that his client is in the process of gathering medical documents and witness statements to support her case. The lawsuit was filed promptly to preserve the statute of limitations.

The suit filed by Joi Dickerson highlights that she had filed police reports in New York and New Jersey after the alleged abuse. However, inquiries to the New York City Police Department have not been immediately returned, leaving it unclear which other jurisdictions may have received reports.

After the filmed assault, Dickerson claims she approached individuals in the music industry to confirm the existence of the “revenge porn” tape. However, she was met with fear and rejection, as those individuals were allegedly terrified of Combs’ retaliation and potential damage to their careers.

It is important to note that The Associated Press generally does not disclose the identities of sexual abuse victims unless they choose to come forward publicly, as Dickerson has done.

Combs, now 54, went on to establish his own record label, Bad Boys Records, in the years following the alleged assaults. He played a significant role in producing artists like Mary J. Blige and Biggie Smalls, becoming one of the most influential hip-hop producers and executives in history.

These recent lawsuits follow the explosive allegations made by Cassie Ventura, who accused Combs of a range of abuses during their relationship, which began in 2005. Ventura claimed that Combs drugged her, subjected her to physical violence, and even forced her to have sex with male prostitutes while he filmed them. She also alleged that Combs raped her when she attempted to end the relationship in 2018. The lawsuit was settled for an undisclosed sum just one day after it was filed.

In a statement released by her lawyers, Ventura expressed her desire to resolve the matter on terms that she had some level of control over. Combs responded with a statement wishing her and her family the best.
