The Station House Officer (SHO), Sukhwinder Singh, stated that Darshan Singh sustained injuries during the attack and subsequently succumbed to them at a local hospital. In response to this heinous crime, the police have registered a case against the perpetrator, Joginder Singh, who hails from the village of Karnama. He has been charged under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for murder. Currently, Joginder Singh remains at large, and intensive efforts are underway to locate and apprehend him.
