Officers promptly located the vehicle, a red Ford Fusion, parked in a lot in the 400 block of Northwest Englewood Road at approximately 12:34 a.m. During their encounter with Dominguez-Garcia, law enforcement discovered that he possessed multiple ID cards and provided officers with several different names, raising suspicion. Further investigation revealed outstanding warrants, including charges of first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree intentional homicide of an unborn child, and concealing a corpse, issued against Dominguez-Garcia by authorities in Chippewa County.

The arrest of Dominguez-Garcia was executed without incident, and he is currently being held at the Clay County Detention Center in Missouri, awaiting extradition back to Wisconsin to face the charges against him. The Gladstone police department released a statement on Thursday, detailing the background of the original case.

According to the Leader-Telegram, a local newspaper in the Chippewa Falls area, Dominguez-Garcia stands accused of murdering 25-year-old Rosaly Cindy Chavarria Rodriguez. Rodriguez, who was pregnant at the time, went missing in July 2020. Her body was eventually discovered hidden inside a suitcase at a farmhouse in the town of Wheaton, Wisconsin, in October of the same year.

Investigations revealed that Dominguez-Garcia and Rodriguez had worked together at a local restaurant and were romantically involved around the time of her disappearance. Notably, Dominguez-Garcia’s car was located in Wisconsin approximately a month after Rodriguez went missing, and investigators found evidence of bodily fluids in the trunk, indicating the presence of a decomposing corpse.

The breakthrough in the case came when officers working on a drug investigation received information about a suitcase containing a body on a farm near Wheaton. The discovery led authorities to connect the dots and ultimately link Dominguez-Garcia to the heinous crime.

At present, it is unclear why Dominguez-Garcia was in Gladstone or the duration of his stay in the area. The investigation into his activities and potential connections in Missouri is ongoing.
