36-Year-Old Shravan Kumar Maurya Finally Arrested for Attempted Murder of Shailendra Singh

The accused, identified as 36-year-old Shravan Kumar Maurya, had been on the run since September 2022 after stabbing 28-year-old Shailendra Singh multiple times in the Gauraipada area of Vasai. Fortunately, Singh survived the attack despite sustaining severe injuries to his abdomen.

The motive behind the assault was allegedly Maurya’s suspicion of Singh having an affair with his wife. The heated exchange of words between the two men led to the violent incident. The police registered a case under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code at the Valiv police station. However, Maurya managed to escape the police dragnet, leaving investigators puzzled.

Utilizing informers and a sophisticated electronic surveillance system, Sanap and his team laid a clever trap that led to Maurya’s arrest on Thursday. The authorities apprehended him in the Bilalpada area of Nallasopara.
