Suspect Arrested in Connection with Deadly Stabbing in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY — Authorities have taken a suspect into custody in relation to a fatal stabbing incident that occurred in Kansas City. The suspect has been identified as 34-year-old Anthony Durking.

The incident took place on November 12th, just before 4:30 p.m., when a concerned citizen brought a man with apparent stab wounds to Fire Station #3, located in Independence, Missouri. Unfortunately, despite the immediate medical attention provided by the fire department personnel, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

Following a thorough investigation, it was determined that the stabbing had taken place in the vicinity of Truman Road and Hardy Avenue. Online jail records indicate that Durkin is currently being held without bond at the Johnson County, Missouri jail.

Law enforcement authorities had previously described the suspect as having a tattoo reading “RESPETO” on the right side of his neck, as well as a “Scooby Doo” tattoo on his right arm. Durkin is reportedly homeless, according to police sources. However, the authorities have not disclosed any information regarding the specific charges that Durkin may face.
