Common Love Interest Turns Ugly: 23-Year-Old Youth Brutally Murdered in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident that unfolded in Telangana’s Bhadradri-Kothagudem district, a 23-year-old youth lost his life after being brutally attacked by another man. The motive behind the gruesome murder was a common love interest that both individuals had for a woman. The accused has been identified as Sk Afridi, while the victim’s name is M Naveen.

Attack with a Pickaxe

According to a report published by The Times Of India, the incident occurred when Sk Afridi, employed at a local chicken shop in NP Reddypalem village, spotted Naveen passing by his residence. Fueled by rage, Afridi launched a vicious attack on Naveen, wielding a pickaxe. The victim sustained fatal head injuries, leading to his immediate demise.

Immediate Surrender to Authorities

Following the heinous crime, Afridi wasted no time and turned himself in at the Burgampahad police station, confessing to the murder. A police official confirmed that the root cause of the crime was the shared love interest between the two men. “The motive behind the crime was a common love interest,” the officer stated.

Complaint Lodged by Victim’s Brother

Upon learning about the tragic incident, Naveen’s brother hurried to the police station, registering a formal complaint against Afridi. He revealed that his brother had developed a close bond with a woman from the village, which Afridi vehemently disapproved of. Consequently, Afridi confronted Naveen near his residence as he returned from work, launching a fatal attack with a pickaxe. Naveen tragically lost his life at the scene of the crime.
