Head-On Collision in Brothertown Claims Life of 19-Year-Old

BROTHERTOWN, Wis. (WFRV) – Tragedy struck on Wednesday evening in Calumet County as a head-on collision resulted in the death of a 19-year-old man and left another driver hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

The Accident

According to the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office, the two-vehicle crash occurred around 5:35 p.m. on November 22. The incident took place on USH 151, north of Indian Road, in the Town of Brothertown.

Preliminary Investigation Findings

Initial investigations indicate that a 19-year-old man from Chilton was driving northbound on USH 151 when his vehicle allegedly crossed over the center line. Tragically, his car collided head-on with a southbound vehicle, causing his vehicle to burst into flames.

The driver of the southbound vehicle, a 28-year-old man from Calumet, was trapped inside his vehicle as a result of the impact. Emergency responders had to extricate him from the wreckage before rushing him to a local hospital due to the severity of his injuries, which were deemed life-threatening.
