Indore, Madhya Pradesh: In a heart-wrenching incident, a 16-year-old girl tragically ended her life by hanging herself at her residence in the Hira Nagar police station area on Thursday. The young girl allegedly took this drastic step after reportedly facing a scolding from her grandfather. The motive behind her extreme decision remains unknown as she did not leave behind any note explaining her actions. The local police have initiated an investigation, questioning family members to uncover the circumstances leading to her untimely demise.

The victim, identified as Hema Lokhande, hailed from Ganesh Nagar. She took her life at her grandfather’s house in the evening on Thursday. Hema was a diligent student in the tenth grade. Her father, Dinesh, stated that he resides in the Rajendra Nagar area, while his daughter had temporarily moved to her grandfather’s residence in Ganesh Nagar to focus on her studies. Hema was the only daughter in the family, with two younger brothers. Dinesh, who owns a vehicle repairing garage, expressed shock over the tragic incident. It was Hema’s cousin who discovered her lifeless body, prompting the family to immediately inform the police. Authorities arrived promptly to commence their investigation and later handed over the deceased’s body to her grieving family members after conducting a post-mortem examination.

In an unrelated incident, a 26-year-old furniture businessman was discovered hanging inside a hotel room within the jurisdiction of the Kanadiya police station in Indore on Thursday. The reasons behind his fateful decision remain shrouded in mystery. The local police have launched a thorough investigation, collecting statements from family members and acquaintances in a bid to unravel the circumstances that led to this grim outcome.

The deceased, identified as Manpreet Singh, hailed from Nanak Nagar. Authorities received a distress call reporting the incident, notifying them that Manpreet had taken his own life in a hotel room near Bicholi Mardana.
