Accident – Death – Obituary News : Tragic Accident in State College, PA: Woman Ejected from Truck and Crushed by Trailer
In a devastating accident on Interstate 80 eastbound near Snowshoe Township, a woman was tragically killed after being ejected from a truck and crushed by a 53-foot trailer. The victim has been identified as Kulwant Singh, who was riding in the sleeping area of the truck at the time of the incident.

According to Trooper Lucas Dixon, the driver of the truck, Resham Singh, 46, from Montebello, CA, lost control of the 2016 Freightliner, leading to the horrific chain of events. It is believed that the truck was cut open by a guide rail, causing Kulwant Singh to be thrown from the vehicle. Troopers arrived on the scene shortly after 3 p.m. to find the trailer overturned on top of the guide rail, with the victim discovered underneath the trailer’s back axle.
The Centre County Coroner’s Office has officially listed the cause of death as blunt force injuries, highlighting the severity of the incident. It appears that she was ejected from the truck through a wall and subsequently crushed by the trailer, resulting in her untimely demise.
During the investigation, authorities discovered that Resham Singh did not possess a commercial driver’s license for any state. Instead, he only had a California Class X photo ID, which is equivalent to a photo ID from PennDOT. As a result, he has been charged with second-degree misdemeanor accidents involving death, as well as several summary traffic offenses.
Following his arraignment on the charges, Resham Singh was released on his own recognizance. The incident has left the community in shock and mourning for the loss of Kulwant Singh’s life.
