Former Milford Substitute Teacher Indicted for Sending Inappropriate Messages to Child
A former substitute teacher in Milford, New Hampshire, has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a child. Emanuel Mendez’s arrest on felony charges was first reported by News 9 in May. While limited details were initially available, the grand jury indictment has now revealed the explicit messages that led to his arrest.

Court documents filed in Hillsborough Superior Court state that Mendez is accused of endangering the welfare of a child by soliciting sex. The victim, who remains unidentified but is known to be under the age of 16, was the recipient of the messages. The indictment does not specify the nature of Mendez’s relationship with the victim but highlights a series of messages allegedly sent between September 2022 and January 2023. One of the messages states, “…my mind is racing wanting you more and more.”
According to Milford schools, Mendez had already left the district before the allegations against him came to light. However, the charges filed against him shed light on the disturbing nature of his interactions with a minor. The school administration has not provided any additional information regarding Mendez’s employment history or the circumstances surrounding his departure.
Mendez, who was released on bail following his arrest in May, is scheduled to appear in court again in January. The ongoing legal proceedings will determine the consequences he will face if found guilty of the charges brought against him.
