Father Arrested for Allegedly Impregnating 17-Year-Old Daughter in Ogun State

A shocking incident has emerged in the Mokola Isale Tapa area of Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, where a father identified as Ganiyu Aikore has been accused of impregnating his 17-year-old daughter. The disturbing news has sparked outrage and concern among residents.

The community chairman promptly took the daughter to the Adatan Police Division to file a formal complaint against her father. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident, stating that Ganiyu Aikore is suspected of sexually abusing his teenage daughter for an extended period of time. The pregnancy is reportedly at 23 weeks.

“We have apprehended the suspect and launched an investigation into the matter. It is believed that he has been engaging in sexual activities with his teenage daughter for a significant duration,” Odutola stated in a WhatsApp message.

In a separate development, the police have successfully recovered a stolen vehicle and made arrests in connection with the crime. A Toyota Matrix car with registration number AA 26 GV, which was reported stolen in Akure, was traced to Ode-Remo and discovered inside a hotel in Isara Remo.

The police spokesperson revealed that two suspects have been apprehended and are currently being interrogated. The investigation is ongoing, as authorities strive to gather more evidence and uncover the full extent of the crime.
