Accident – Death – Obituary News : Elderly Woman Killed, Two Injured in Road Accidents

Samba, Nov 23 – A tragic road accident in Samba resulted in the death of an elderly woman after she was hit by a motorcyclist. The incident occurred in the Rakh Amb Tali area of Samba this evening. Reports indicate that the motorcyclist collided with the elderly woman, causing her serious injuries. Despite being rushed to District Hospital Samba (DHS) with the help of local residents, she tragically succumbed to her injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Kartaro Devi, a 70-year-old woman and the wife of Kadu Ram, a resident of Rakh Amb Tali Samba. The incident has left the community in shock and mourning the loss of a beloved member.

In another unfortunate incident, a pedestrian was hit by a motorcyclist near Maheshwar in Samba on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway. Both the motorcyclist and the pedestrian sustained serious injuries. The injured parties were promptly taken to District Hospital Samba with the assistance of the Army and local police. After receiving initial medical aid, they were then referred to the Government Medical College Hospital in Jammu for further treatment.

The injured have been identified as 19-year-old Aditya Bhagat, son of Suchet Kumar and a resident of Budhwani Samba. The pedestrian who was hit has been identified as Gurdeep Singh, son of Darshan Singh. The police have taken cognizance of the matter and have initiated further action.
