ROBINSONVILLE, Miss. – The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) announced on Wednesday night that an 18-year-old suspect has been taken into custody in connection to a shooting that occurred earlier this month near a Mississippi casino, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. Deonte Carnell Taylor, the arrested teenager, is being held without bond for his alleged involvement in the triple homicide that took place on November 10 in Robinsonville.

The incident unfolded when a car, riddled with bullet holes, crashed into a pole near Casino Center Drive. Upon inspection, authorities discovered three lifeless bodies inside the vehicle. The victims have been identified as Tednequa Tenice Moore, a 25-year-old resident of Robinsonville, Deshun Montarrio Isabell, a 24-year-old from Tunica, and Steven Dewayne Burts, a 23-year-old from Dundee. Tragically, Moore was pregnant at the time of her untimely demise.

According to TCSO, the 18-year-old suspect, Taylor, has been charged with three counts of Capital Murder, four counts of Shooting into a Motor Vehicle, and four counts of Conspiracy to Commit a Crime. The arrest brings some relief to the grieving families, who are desperate for justice and closure.

Teddy Moore, the father of Tednequa Tenice Moore, spoke to FOX13 shortly after the devastating incident, revealing that the group had been heading from a nearby sandwich shop towards a casino hotel but never made it back. The shocking loss has left their loved ones in utter disbelief and heartbreak.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they encountered a car that bore the brunt of the violent attack, with numerous bullet holes peppering its exterior. The investigation into the triple homicide is still ongoing, with TCSO vowing to make further arrests in connection to the case. They urge anyone with information about the homicides to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 662-362-1411 or call CrimeStoppers at 662-910-0400.

In these trying times, the local community has come together to support the grieving families and offer their condolences. The loss of three young lives, including an expectant mother, has sent shockwaves throughout the region, highlighting the urgent need to address gun violence and ensure the safety of residents.

As the investigation continues, TCSO remains committed to providing answers and bringing justice to those affected by this senseless act of violence. The arrest of the 18-year-old suspect is a significant step forward in the pursuit of justice, but it also serves as a reminder of the importance of community vigilance and cooperation in preventing such tragedies from occurring in the future.
