Man Fatally Shot Inside Brandywine Home, Suspect Found Dead in New Jersey
BRANDYWINE, Md. (7News) — A tragic incident unfolded in Brandywine, Maryland, as a man lost his life following a shooting inside his own home on Monday, November 20, according to the Prince George’s County police.

Upon receiving a distressing report of a shooting, law enforcement authorities swiftly responded to the scene situated in the 15000 block of Brandywine Road at approximately 11:50 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 62-year-old man, identified as Lewis Parker, Sr., suffering from severe gunshot wounds inside his residence. Urgently, he was transported to a nearby hospital, but tragically succumbed to his injuries hours later, as confirmed by the officers.
Following the initial investigation, the police identified the suspect as Elijah Drew, a 29-year-old individual hailing from Somers Point, New Jersey. The authorities swiftly named him as a suspect shortly after the shooting incident.

Further investigation unveiled that Drew had fled to New Jersey following the heinous murder he allegedly committed. However, tragic news struck once again as authorities in Atlantic City, New Jersey, discovered Drew’s lifeless body, which appeared to be a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
