30-year-old Kaitlin Elizabeth Stranick Identified as Victim in Deadly I-795 Crash

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Reisterstown, Maryland – A tragic four-car collision on Wednesday afternoon resulted in a road closure lasting for four hours on Interstate 795. Maryland State Police are currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the deadly crash.

The incident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. when authorities received a report of a collision on Interstate 795 North, close to Westminster Pike. According to preliminary investigations, a Ford F150 pickup truck traveling south on I-795 collided with the rear of a 2005 Ford F350 pickup truck. The impact caused both vehicles to roll into the grass median, where they subsequently struck a metal cable barrier before veering into the northbound lanes. Tragically, the Ford F350 crashed head-on into a 2017 Toyota Rav4.

The driver of the Rav4 has been identified as 30-year-old Kaitlin Elizabeth Stranick from Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services (EMS). In addition to the fatalities, a 2016 Toyota Corolla was also involved in the incident as it collided with debris from the initial crash. The 23-year-old male driver of the Ford F350 sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the drivers of the other two vehicles involved escaped the collision unharmed.

The Maryland State Police Crash Team is currently carrying out a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. As a result of this tragic incident, all northbound lanes of I-795 had to be closed for approximately four hours. The Maryland State Highway Administration promptly responded to assist with the necessary road closures.

Once the investigation is concluded, the MSP Crash Team will submit its findings to the Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office. Based on their assessment, the State’s Attorney’s Office will decide whether charges should be filed in connection with the deadly crash.
