Sargodha: Fatal Collapse of House Roof Leaves Four Women Dead

Sargodha city was struck by a devastating tragedy when the roof of a residential house in Saedwana gave way, resulting in the untimely demise of four women from the same family. The incident occurred as the roof, burdened by an excessive load of bricks, could no longer bear the strain.

Swift Response by Authorities

As news of the incident reached the concerned authorities, both the police and rescue teams promptly arrived at the accident site to provide immediate assistance. The deceased bodies and the injured were swiftly transported to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, where they could receive urgent medical attention.

Identifying the Victims

The police officials have identified the victims as Meena Fatima, Haram Fatima, Hafza Bibi, and Miraj Fatima. Tragically, these four women lost their lives in the unfortunate incident. Additionally, a man named Muhammad Saleem sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital. His condition is reported to be critical, and medical professionals are providing him with the utmost care and attention.

An Overloaded Roof Leads to Disaster

According to the rescue officials, it was discovered that the family had placed an excessive number of bricks on the roof of their room, creating an overload. This excessive weight proved too much for the supporting structure, causing it to collapse suddenly. The ongoing operation at the site aims to carefully remove the debris of the collapsed roof.
