Accident – Death – Obituary News : Ten individuals have been apprehended by the police in connection with two shooting incidents in Bangkok that resulted in the deaths of a secondary school teacher, a vocational school student, and a technology university student. The authorities, armed with a search warrant from the Criminal Court, conducted a raid on a house in Nonthaburi’s Sai Noi district on Wednesday (November 22) and took into custody a suspect identified as Warongchai Kansri.

Following the arrest of Warongchai, he provided valuable information that led the police to five additional locations in both Bangkok and Nonthaburi. As a result, seven more suspects were apprehended, bringing the total number of detainees to eight. All of them were subsequently transported to the Metropolitan Police Bureau for further interrogation.

Although investigators have yet to establish with certainty whether Warongchai was the individual responsible for firing at the student and teacher, the police source revealed that the authorities are actively questioning the eight suspects to gather information and identify the gunmen. Notably, Metropolitan Police chief Pol Lt-General Thiti Saengsawang will personally oversee the interrogation process.

These eight suspects are accused of being involved in a shooting incident on November 11, which resulted in the severe injury of Thanasorn Hongsawat, a 19-year-old first-year student at Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok Uthenthawai. Tragically, a stray bullet from that same incident claimed the life of Sirada “Khru Jiab” Sinprasert, a 45-year-old teacher at Sacred Heart Convent School.

Remarkably, the arrest of these eight suspects followed the capture of another individual in Bangkok Yai district the day before. This suspect, identified as Akkarapol Sirimekhanon, 22, allegedly shot and killed a 16-year-old technical college student in the Dusit district on Monday morning. The weapon employed in this heinous act was identified as a pen gun.

Akkarapol, who resides in Moo 6 village in Nonthaburi’s Sai Noi district, was apprehended in Soi Charalsanitwong 3. While the suspect admitted to shooting the student, he claimed it was an act of self-defense. Consequently, he was taken to the Dusit police station for further questioning and legal proceedings.

The victim, a 16-year-old second-year technology university student, has been identified only as Pongpeera. In a significant development, the police also arrested a second suspect, known only as Thanakorn, in relation to this case. Allegedly, Thanakorn was the pillion rider when Akkarapol fired the fatal shot at Pongpeera.

According to the authorities, Thanakorn, aged 18, asserted that he had been injured in a knife attack by acquaintances of the victim, which prompted him and Akkarapol to seek revenge. The investigation into these incidents is ongoing..
