Suspect Identified in Ongoing Search: Kevin Skaj of Natrona County, Wyoming

Accident – Death – Obituary News : CASPER, Wyo. — The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office has made progress in the ongoing search for two suspects who fled law enforcement on Wednesday morning. According to witness statements, one suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Kevin Skaj from Natrona County, Wyoming. Skaj is known to have several unrelated arrest warrants for nonviolent crimes.

The second suspect remains unidentified, but is described as a white or Hispanic female with jaw-length black hair. She was last seen wearing a plaid or orange poncho and may be carrying a purse. Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous.

The incident began at approximately 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22, when law enforcement officers located a reported stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The suspects, however, decided to flee, leading to a high-speed pursuit that ended in the area of Antelope Hills, just north of Bar Nunn on the east side of Interstate 25.

Upon abandoning the stolen vehicle, the suspects continued their escape on foot, prompting a public alert for the area. Initial reports suggested that a firearm may have been inside the stolen vehicle, raising concerns about public safety. However, it has since been confirmed that there was no firearm in the vehicle at the time it was stolen.

Despite this clarification, the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office continues to urge Antelope Hills residents to remain vigilant and not to approach the suspects if they are spotted. Law enforcement officials are actively investigating the case and will maintain a presence in the area until the suspects are apprehended.

Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the second suspect. If anyone has any information that could help with the investigation, they are urged to call 911 immediately.
