Man Arrested in Connection with Chubbuck Bank Robbery

The Chubbuck Police Department has made significant progress in the investigation of the recent bank robbery at Advantage Plus Federal Credit Union.

Following an intensive search, the suspect has been identified as 43-year-old Brandon Damon. He was apprehended by the Fort Hall Police Department on an unrelated arrest warrant. Additionally, the driver of the getaway vehicle was also taken into custody by Fort Hall Police on an unrelated warrant.

A warrant for robbery and other potential charges related to this incident are expected to be issued soon. The Chubbuck Police Department expressed gratitude to the community for providing valuable tips during the investigation.

Original Incident Details

CHUBBUCK — A daring bank robbery unfolded at the Advantage Plus Federal Credit Union in Chubbuck on Tuesday, leaving authorities on the hunt for the suspect.

According to Chubbuck Police Chief Nick Sasser, the unidentified male suspect, described as tall, slender, and possibly of Native American descent, entered the bank shortly after noon. He brandished a firearm at a bank employee, instilling fear and panic.

The suspect, dressed entirely in black, including pants, a beanie, and a hooded coat, concealed his identity with a black mask.

After successfully coercing the bank employee, the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, leaving the staff and customers shocked and traumatized.

Eye-witnesses reported that the suspect escaped in a white, older model two-door Chevrolet pickup truck, which was driven by an accomplice. Unfortunately, no description of the driver is available at this time.
