Navon Malik REID Arrested for Attempted Disarming of Law Enforcement Officer; James Michael MORGAN Arrested for Assault on LEO

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Prince William Police Department: “Attempt to Disarm a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On the evening of November 18th, while conducting patrols in the vicinity of Easy Street and Richmond Highway in Woodbridge, officers from the Prince William Police Department encountered a man trespassing in a clearly marked no trespassing area. Subsequently, it was discovered that the individual in question, later identified as Navon Malik REID, was also actively sought by law enforcement authorities. As the officers made an attempt to apprehend the accused, he vehemently resisted their efforts and flagrantly disregarded their commands. In a startling turn of events, the accused made a desperate move to retrieve a knife concealed in his waistband, but vigilant officers thwarted his attempt. However, the accused’s aggression escalated as he viciously struck one of the officers in the face. Shockingly, he then proceeded to grip another officer’s neck before forcefully attempting to seize the officer’s weapon from its holster. After a brief but intense struggle, the officers were finally able to secure the accused without any further untoward incidents. Additionally, it was discovered that the accused was in possession of suspected illegal narcotics. Thankfully, only minor injuries were reported. Consequently, Navon Malik REID, aged 26 with no fixed address, was duly arrested and charged with one count of attempted disarming of a law enforcement officer, two counts of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, two counts of obstruction of justice, and one count of possession of a schedule I/II drug. The court date is yet to be determined, and the accused is currently being held WITHOUT bond.”

In another unrelated incident, the Prince William Police Department responded to a distress call regarding a physical altercation at a residence situated in the 12900 block of Luca Station Way in Woodbridge. Upon their arrival, officers learned that the altercation involved a man, identified as James Michael MORGAN, who was undergoing a mental health crisis, and his 49-year-old male caretaker. The situation escalated rapidly when the accused aggressively struck his caretaker. A chaotic struggle ensued, during which the accused also targeted a 60-year-old male neighbor, inflicting harm upon him, and even proceeding to bite a 42-year-old male neighbor. Sensing the urgency of the matter, officers swiftly intervened and, despite facing resistance from the accused who spat on one of the officers, successfully took him into custody. Fortunately, only minor injuries were reported. Following a thorough investigation, James Michael MORGAN, aged 58 and residing at 12968 Luca Station Way in Woodbridge, was arrested and charged with one count of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, as well as three counts of assault and battery. He is currently awaiting his court date, and a bond of $5,000 has been set.
