The principal and three assistant principals of New Providence Middle School have been removed from their positions following an incident that took place during a basketball game on November 9, as stated in a letter addressed to families by Dr. Schanda Doughy, the chief academic officer for the school system.

According to the letter, the administrators were absent at the start of the game but arrived later while it was still ongoing. Concerns were raised when their interactions with others suggested that they had consumed alcohol or were intoxicated.
