Accident – Death – Obituary News : (ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.) KXRM — The United States Marshals Service has provided additional details regarding the extensive manhunt and subsequent arrest of Hanme Clark in New Mexico following a tragic shooting incident in Custer County. The Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) had issued a warrant for Clark’s arrest on charges of three counts of First-Degree Murder, one count of Attempted Murder, and one count of First-Degree Assault. These charges are tied to the deaths of Clark’s neighbors, Rob Geers (63), Beth Wade Geers (73), and James Daulton (58), as well as the Aggravated Assault of Patty Daulton, who is currently receiving treatment for her injuries at a trauma center in Colorado Springs.

Sheriff Rich Smith of the CCSO authorized the United States Marshals Service to proceed with the arrest, as they had already established collaboration with various law enforcement agencies. Information had surfaced indicating that Clark was traveling south on I-25 towards New Mexico. At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a New Mexico State Police (NMSP) officer spotted Clark’s vehicle heading south towards Albuquerque. NMSP began tailing Clark and confirmed his identity as the driver. In a joint operation with the U.S. Marshals Service, NMSP devised a plan to halt Clark’s vehicle. The police deployed spike strips on westbound I-40, outside a densely populated area, successfully immobilizing the vehicle and enabling Clark’s arrest. This operation briefly disrupted westbound traffic on I-40. Clark was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the New Mexico State Police Office in Albuquerque for further questioning.
