Fight Over Soft Drink Leads to Violent Clash Between Friends in Ogun State

The peaceful Fulani community in the Ogunmakin area of Ogun State was thrown into confusion and shock on Monday when a simple misunderstanding over a bottle of soft drink escalated into a violent clash between two friends, Abdullahi Audu and Usman Muhammed.

According to reports, the altercation began when Audu, seemingly the instigator, brandished a cutlass and ruthlessly severed Muhammed’s entire wrist during the heat of the moment. The sight of his severed hand enraged Muhammed, prompting him to retaliate by plunging a knife into Audu’s abdomen before bystanders could intervene.

The situation quickly turned gruesome as Audu’s intestines spilled out due to the severity of the stab wound, leaving both friends writhing in excruciating pain.

Witnesses, horrified by the bloody scuffle, immediately sought the assistance of the Seriki of Fulani in the community, Alhaji Wakili, who promptly reported the incident to the Owode Egba Police Division.

Both Audu and Muhammed were rushed to Immaculate Hospital in the community, where they are currently undergoing treatment for their severe injuries.

Confirming the incident, Omolola Odutola, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, stated that an investigation into the matter had been initiated. The police are determined to uncover the circumstances surrounding the altercation and bring the culprits to justice.
