According to an official statement, Khan had previously been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police for making a similar threat call targeting Chief Minister Adityanath. It is believed that the accused made the call to the Mumbai police control room while he was at the J.J. Hospital for a medical check-up, which was being delayed due to a long queue of patients.

He also claimed that he was contracted by Dawood Ibrahim’s gang to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,” the police official stated.

Following a complaint lodged by the police officials, Khan has been booked under Section 505 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The investigation into the matter is currently ongoing.
