Accused in Anju Dorjee Murder Case Sent to Five-Day Police Custody

The accused, Mani Khan, who had been on the run since the discovery of 25-year-old Dorjee’s body in her leased flat in Guwahati’s Six Mile area on November 12, was apprehended on Sunday and subsequently arrested on Monday after extensive interrogation. He was produced before the local court on Tuesday.

According to police reports, Dorjee, originally from Assam’s Bokajan, was involved in a live-in relationship with Khan and was residing with him despite his existing marriage and two children. The police were able to apprehend Khan in Guwahati after reviewing CCTV footage from the apartment where the alleged murder occurred.
