Police Seek Public’s Assistance in Identifying Suspect Linked to Fatal Shooting

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Authorities from the law enforcement agencies are urging the general public to come forward with any information regarding the identification and whereabouts of the suspect involved in a tragic shooting incident that resulted in the loss of a life. The suspect has been identified as Tremale M. Serrano, a 29-year-old resident of Topeka.

According to police spokesperson Rosie Nichols, the incident occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. on October 15. The police were alerted to a distressing situation when they received a report about an individual found lying in the front yard of a residential property located in the 1600 block of SW 21st Street.

Upon arrival at the scene, first responders discovered the lifeless body of Jackson E. Danner, a 23-year-old resident of Topeka. Medical professionals pronounced him deceased at the location.

The ongoing investigation has led the authorities to believe that there might be another individual involved in the incident. The second suspect has been identified as Tremale Serrano. The police are urging anyone who possesses any information relevant to this case to immediately contact them, as this information could prove crucial in furthering the investigation.

Adding a major development to the case, on November 14, the police successfully apprehended and booked Aaron Serrano, a 33-year-old resident, into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections. The authorities have linked Serrano to the death of Jackson E. Danner.
