Police – Accident – Death – Obituary News : Woman Arrested in Connection to Grandview Heights Beating Incident
According to authorities from the Grandview police department, a woman believed to be one of the two individuals of interest in a Grandview Heights beating that resulted in the death of a man has been taken into custody. The arrest took place on Tuesday in the Hilltop neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. In relation to the incident, the police are waiting for the arrival of a SWAT team to execute a search warrant at a residence on South Columbian Avenue. However, it remains uncertain whether the second person of interest is present at the location.

The incident unfolded last week when the Grandview officers and medics responded to a distress call regarding an unconscious man found near the train tracks on West Fifth Avenue, east of Dublin Road. The victim, identified as Stephen Albright, a 57-year-old man, was severely injured and in critical condition. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on Friday.
In an effort to gather more information, the police released two short video surveillance clips. The first video, dated November 13 at around 7:40 p.m., shows an individual dressed in dark clothing riding a bicycle in the vicinity. The second video, timestamped at 7:48 p.m., captures a person wearing a red and white jacket.
Authorities have reason to believe that the two individuals seen in the surveillance footage may have been traveling together. As a result, Albright’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
