Two San Diego men arrested in connection with shooting deaths of two teens at El Cajon house party

Police – Accident – Death – Obituary News : EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) – Two individuals have been apprehended by El Cajon Police in connection with the tragic shooting deaths of two teenagers at a house party in El Cajon. The suspects, identified as 21-year-old Bruce Luu and 24-year-old Dan Nalab, both residents of San Diego, were arrested over the weekend, authorities announced on Tuesday.

The arrest of Nalab took place on November 18, when Chula Vista Police detained him on an unrelated firearms charge. Luu, on the other hand, was located in San Diego and apprehended on November 20 by officers from the El Cajon Police Department, along with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and the East County Regional Gang Task Force.

Both Luu and Nalab are facing first-degree murder charges and are currently being held without bail at San Diego’s Central Jail.

The arrests were made in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on the late evening of October 28 in the 700 block of Mahogany Drive in El Cajon. According to the police, they received multiple 911 calls reporting a loud house party and shots being fired.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers witnessed numerous individuals fleeing from the area. Two critically wounded victims, a 16-year-old male and an 18-year-old male, were discovered. Despite prompt medical attention, both victims tragically succumbed to their injuries after being transported to local trauma hospitals. Homicide detectives later determined that at least two suspects were involved in the double homicide and had fled in a vehicle before the arrival of law enforcement.

During the subsequent investigation, detectives utilized the Flock Safety automated license plate reader system to identify the getaway vehicle used in the crime. Additionally, they were able to identify the two suspects, Bruce Luu and Dan Nalab, both residents of the City of San Diego.
