Registered Sex Offender Arrested for Indecent Exposure at Trumbull’s Kohl’s Store

Trumbull, CT – In a disturbing incident that occurred recently, a 26-year-old registered sex offender was apprehended by the Trumbull police for allegedly exposing himself at the Kohl’s store situated on Hawley Lane. The incident took place on Saturday at approximately 3 p.m., leaving customers shocked and concerned.

According to authorities, officers were dispatched to the store after receiving reports of a man engaging in indecent behavior. Witnesses reported that the suspect exposed himself while observing women within the store. Trumbull police swiftly responded to the scene to investigate the matter.

The accused has been identified as William McClain, a resident of Shelton. Following an extensive search, McClain turned himself in to the authorities. It was revealed that he is a registered sex offender and was already under probationary supervision due to prior arrests for similar indecent exposure incidents.

Trumbull police have charged McClain with public indecency and breach of peace in the second degree. Additionally, he faces charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, as revealed during the investigation.
