An appalling incident unfolded in Lorain, Ohio, as a 29-year-old man was found dead alongside his wife, 24, and their two young children on Sunday, November 19. The gruesome discovery was made after the police received reports of loose dogs running in the area, prompting their intervention.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the door to the apartment open. Upon entering, they discovered the lifeless body of Tyler Young, the father, in the living room. The authorities also recovered a 9 mm pistol next to his body.

Further exploration of the apartment led the officers to discover the bodies of Tyler Young’s wife, Skylar Young, and their infant son, Bandin Young. Both had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The lifeless body of Skylar Young’s 9-year-old daughter, Angel Isaac, who had also been shot, was subsequently found by the police.

The investigation carried out by the Lorain Police Department suggests that the murders took place between 1 a.m. and 10 a.m. on that fateful Sunday, as the presence of loose dogs during that time was reported by witnesses. Lieutenant Jacob Morris stated during a news conference that the evidence and facts gathered so far point towards Tyler Young as the perpetrator of these heinous crimes. The police are treating the case as a murder-suicide.

It has come to light that there had been a history of domestic violence in the Young family. In May, the police were called to a business parking lot where Tyler Young was accused of physically assaulting and strangling Skylar Young. Although a family member informed the police that Tyler Young had experienced a mental health episode during the incident, it is yet to be confirmed if he had an official diagnosis.
