Accident – Death – Obituary News : Kochi: A 25-year-old man from West Bengal has been arrested by the Kochi city police for allegedly downloading and storing child pornography on his mobile phone. The accused, identified as Rafeeq Alam, was an employee at a restaurant in Mattancherry. The arrest was made by the Mattancherry police on Saturday following information received about his activities. Upon investigation, the police found explicit material involving minors on his phone, leading to his booking under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

In another incident, a 28-year-old man named Clinson Jossy was apprehended by the police in Kochi for sexually abusing a minor girl. Jossy, a resident of Thoppumpady, was arrested at his residence in Manassery. The arrest was made based on the directions of Mattancherry Assistant Commissioner of Police, KR Manoj. Jossy was presented in court and subsequently remanded in judicial custody.
