Police – Accident – Death – Obituary News : Man Fatally Stabbed in Vista, California; Suspect in Custody
VISTA, Calif. — A tragic incident unfolded in Vista on Saturday night, resulting in the death of a man and leaving another seriously injured. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stabbing in the 1200 block of Palomar Place around 11 p.m., according to SDSO Lt. Joseph Jarjura.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies discovered two male victims with multiple stab wounds. Immediate medical aid was provided to both victims, but unfortunately, one of them, identified as 31-year-old Escondido resident Anthony Leal, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second victim, identified as 31-year-old Vista resident Adan Salazar, sustained stab wounds to his upper torso. He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, but his current condition remains unknown.
SDSO homicide detectives have identified 30-year-old Vista resident Daniel Rosas as a possible suspect in the stabbing. Rosas was arrested by deputies on Monday and is now facing charges of murder and attempted murder.
The nature of the relationship between Rosas and the victims is still unclear at this time. Motivation and circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation by SDSO.
