Police – Accident – Death – Obituary News : At least one person has tragically lost their life, and three others have been injured following a shooting incident at a Walmart in Beavercreek, Ohio. The incident occurred on Monday, prompting a large police presence at the scene.
According to reports from WHIO-TV, the shooting took place at the Walmart located on Pentagon Boulevard in Beavercreek, an eastern suburb of Dayton. The Greene County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene to attend to the situation. The Beavercreek Police Department also confirmed their presence at the scene through a Facebook post, assuring the public that there was no active threat. The store was subsequently cleared and secured by the police.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations has been requested to assist in processing the scene, as confirmed by WHIO-TV. The Greene County Coroner’s Office is also present at the scene to carry out necessary procedures.
A Walmart spokesperson expressed deep sadness over the incident and stated that they are working closely with investigators to gather all the necessary information. The spokesperson emphasized that the situation is still developing, indicating ongoing efforts to uncover more details about the incident.
The Beavercreek Police Department received a distress call at approximately 8:30 p.m. EST, leading officers to swiftly respond to the scene at the Beavercreek Walmart, according to WHIO.
Soin Medical Center, a local healthcare facility, confirmed that they received three victims from the shooting. However, no information has been released regarding their current condition.

This is not the first time that the Beavercreek Walmart has been the site of a tragic incident. On August 5, 2014, John Crawford III was fatally shot by a police officer inside the same store. The incident occurred after a 911 caller reported seeing Crawford carrying what appeared to be a gun. However, it was later revealed that the object was a pellet gun that Crawford had picked up from the store. Following the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Crawford’s family, the city of Beavercreek reached a settlement in 2020, paying $1.7 million to Crawford’s estate and family.
