70-Year-Old Woman and 5-Year-Old Girl Killed in Speeding Car Accident in Ahmedabad

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Ahmedabad: Tragedy struck on Sunday when a horrific car accident claimed the lives of a 70-year-old woman and a five-year-old girl near Mithapur village in Ahmedabad’s Bavla taluka. The victims were waiting for a bus on the Rajkot-Ahmedabad highway when they were struck by a speeding car. Two others were severely injured in the incident.

According to Dharamhi Janshalia, who filed the FIR with Bagodara police, he and his 14-year-old granddaughter Tulsi, along with their neighbor Geeta Zamadia, 70, and her granddaughter Riya, 5, were waiting for a bus to Arnej village when tragedy struck. The passing car hit them with great force, resulting in the death of Geeta and Riya. Dharamhi and Tulsi were rushed to a hospital in Bagodara for treatment.

Bagodara police have registered a complaint against an unknown person for rash driving, causing death by negligent driving, and endangering others’ lives. The case has been filed under the Indian Penal Code along with charges of the Motor Vehicles Act.

In another unfortunate incident in Ahmedabad district, a mentally challenged woman was found dead between Tagdi and Zinzar villages in Dhandhuka. Ashik Khatumbara, a resident of Dhandhuka, reported the incident, stating that the woman had been run over by either a car or a truck.

Meanwhile, a 45-year-old man from Kheda lost his life after being run over by a speeding truck. The incident occurred as he was standing on the side of the road near his village of Bhaner-Vad. The victim, identified as Mafat Talpada, was killed instantly when the vehicle’s wheel went over his head. His body was taken to a morgue in Kathlal.

Kathlal police have registered a case of death by negligent driving against an unknown individual in connection with the incident.

In a separate incident on the Yamuna Expressway, an unidentified vehicle crashed into a car, leaving three family members injured.
