In a heart-wrenching incident, a 32-year-old man and his eight-year-old son lost their lives in a devastating road accident in West Delhi’s Rajouri Garden. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning when a speeding car collided with their scooter, according to the police.

The victims have been identified as Dinesh Vasan and his son Daksh. Dinesh’s wife, Preeti, 32, and their eight-month-old daughter also sustained severe injuries in the accident and were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The unfortunate incident took place around 1 am when the family was returning home from a function. Tragically, their scooter was hit from behind, causing all the family members to fall onto the road and suffer multiple injuries, as reported by the police.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vichitra Veer stated, “Locals immediately alerted the authorities, and all the injured were swiftly transported to the nearest hospital. However, despite the efforts of the medical team, the father and son were pronounced dead upon arrival.”
The police have launched an investigation into the incident but have not yet identified the accused driver or the vehicle involved. An FIR (First Information Report) has been registered, and multiple teams have been formed to review surveillance camera footage in order to identify the car responsible for the collision.
