San Bernardino Man Arrested for Fatal Shooting and Injury

A 25-year-old individual from San Bernardino was taken into custody on Monday after being suspected of shooting a man to death and injuring a woman, as confirmed by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department in an official statement.

The incident took place on Thursday, November 16, at approximately 7:32 p.m., on the 7100 block of North Barton Street in San Bernardino. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered the lifeless body of a 37-year-old man from Riverside, identified as Sergio Oscar Casteneda. Casteneda had succumbed to his injuries sustained from gunshot wounds.

Additionally, a 25-year-old woman was also present at the scene and had suffered gunshot wounds. She was promptly transported to a hospital in serious condition. As of Monday evening, there were no updates available regarding her current condition.

Authorities have arrested a suspect, Michael Pasillas, aged 25, on charges of murder. At this time, details about the events leading up to the shooting or the connection between the suspect and the victims have not been released.
