Lucknow: A shocking incident unfolded in Dherha village of Kaushambi district on Monday evening, as a 19-year-old girl was brutally murdered in full public view. The victim, who had been returning home after grazing her cattle in the fields, was accosted by two brothers, Ashok Paswan and Pawan Paswan, both of whom are accused in separate criminal cases.

According to the police, an altercation broke out between the Paswan brothers and the girl, which quickly escalated into a horrifying act of violence. In front of horrified onlookers, the brothers attacked the girl with an axe, hacking her to death. The incident has sent shockwaves through the village, leaving residents outraged and fearful.

SHO Mahewaghat, Vinod Kumar Singh, revealed that the girl had filed a rape case against Pawan Paswan three years ago, adding a disturbing dimension to the case.
