Tragic Discovery: Four Decomposed Bodies Found in West Bengal Flat

Unveiling a Harrowing Incident in North 24 Parganas District

In a heart-wrenching incident that has sent shockwaves through West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district, the decomposed bodies of four family members were tragically discovered in their flat on Sunday. The victims have been identified as 52-year-old Brindaban Karmakar, a respected cloth merchant, his wife Debasree Karmakar, in her forties, their 17-year-old daughter Debaleena, and their eight-year-old son Utsaha.

The grim discovery unfolded at an apartment nestled on MS Mukherjee Road in the Khardah area. Authorities suspect that the man, Brindaban Karmakar, may have orchestrated the horrific incident, poisoning his family members before taking his own life.

Upon entering the residence, the police found Brindaban’s lifeless body hanging from the ceiling, while the bodies of his wife and children were scattered in separate locations within the flat. A suicide note, discovered at the scene, shed light on the motive behind this devastating act. Brindaban claimed that his wife had engaged in an extramarital affair, a revelation he found unbearable, ultimately leading him to take this extreme step.

The alarm was raised by concerned locals who detected a foul odour emanating from the apartment, prompting them to alert the authorities. As the door was bolted shut from the inside, law enforcement had to forcibly break in to gain access.

A forensic team promptly arrived at the scene to conduct a comprehensive investigation, aiming to unravel the unfortunate events that occurred within the confines of this home. The police are diligently working to uncover any additional evidence or leads that may provide a clearer understanding of the tragedy that befell the Karmakar family.
