According to Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ukhiya Police Station, Md Shamim Hossain, the clash erupted between the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (Arsa) and the RSO of Myanmar. Both groups were vying for territorial supremacy within the camp, leading to a heated confrontation that escalated into a gunfight.

Eyewitnesses from the local community reported that the sound of gunshots reverberated through the camp, causing panic and chaos among the residents. The violent clash resulted in the unfortunate loss of Syed Amin’s life.
