Accident – Death – Obituary News : Patna, November 20: A tragic incident occurred in Bihar’s West Champaran district on Monday when a cylinder exploded while being used to fill balloons. The blast resulted in the death of one person and left eight others injured. The incident took place at Chhath Ghat in Pakadiya village under the jurisdiction of Chanpatia police station.

Immediately after the explosion, local police swiftly responded and rescued nine victims. They were promptly taken to the primary health center in Chanpatia for medical treatment. However, due to the severity of their injuries, four of the injured were referred to GMCH Bettiah for further medical attention.

Unfortunately, during the course of treatment, one of the victims succumbed to their injuries. The incident was confirmed by Umakant Singh, the BJP MLA representing Chanpatia Assembly constituency. Singh expressed his condolences and stated that the tragic incident occurred at the Chhath Ghat.

The injured individuals have been identified as Prashant Sharma (17), Vishal Kumar (8), Raushan Kumar (14), Suraj Kumar (30), Ankit Kumar (7), Pappu Kumar (13), Pallavi Kumari (15), KIran Kumari (14), and Vishal Kumar (17).

This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers associated with gas cylinders. It is crucial for individuals and businesses to adhere to proper safety protocols and guidelines when handling and using such cylinders.
