CLEARCREEK TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A woman has been indicted on several charges, including vehicular homicide, in connection with a tragic accident that took place earlier this year in Warren County.

The incident occurred on May 20 when Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to the scene of a crash in Clearcreek Township. The collision took place around 11:36 p.m. that Saturday at the intersection of State Route 48 and East Lytle Five Points Road.

Tragically, two individuals lost their lives in the accident. Michael T. Barch, 20, and Karys R. Speil, 19, were pronounced dead at the scene. According to officials, the crash involved a southbound 2022 Kia Telluride and an eastbound 2016 Chevrolet Malibu on Lytle Five Points Road. Both vehicles veered off the right side of the roadway and collided with a wooden utility pole.

The driver of the Malibu, Michael T. Barch, and the passenger, Karys R. Speil, were fatally injured in the collision. Meanwhile, the driver of the Kia Telluride, identified as 57-year-old Mary Huelsman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Kettering Health for treatment.

Following an investigation into the incident, Mary Huelsman was indicted on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and two counts of vehicular homicide.
