Man Arrested in Colorado Springs Home Invasion

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A man has been taken into custody following a reported home invasion that took place in Colorado Springs on Monday morning.

Police were called to the Residence at Austin Bluffs, a residential complex located near N. Academy Boulevard and Austin Bluffs Parkway, after receiving a report of shots fired at approximately 3 a.m.

According to the police’s online blotter, it was revealed that an occupied apartment within the complex had been targeted in a home invasion. The resident of the apartment took action by firing a shot at the lone intruder who had forcefully entered the premises. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The suspect, identified as Skyler Cisneros, was promptly located by law enforcement officers in the vicinity and subsequently apprehended on charges related to burglary. As of Monday morning, Cisneros remains in custody at the El Paso County Jail.
