Police – Accident – Death – Obituary News : Chandigarh: A man has been booked by the UT police on charges of murdering his wife. The incident came to light on November 17, 2023, when the police discovered the body of a woman in Industrial Area Phase-1. Initial investigations revealed no external injuries on the victim’s body. The deceased was identified as Archana (26), a resident of Hallomajra, who worked at a liquor factory in the Industrial Area.

According to Archana’s sister, Kanchan Kumari, Archana had married Ramesh Kumar from Uttar Pradesh against the wishes of their family. Although Archana had briefly lived with another person, she returned to Ramesh upon his return to the city. However, Ramesh allegedly subjected her to frequent physical abuse, as per Kanchan’s complaint.
