Man Arrested in Connection with Fatal Crash in Bibb County

ATLANTA, Ga. – Authorities have apprehended a suspect in relation to a tragic collision that resulted in a fatality in Bibb County, as confirmed by the local sheriff’s office.

The individual in custody has been identified as 31-year-old Caleb Levi Hendrix, a resident of Macon. Hendrix was wanted by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office for multiple charges, including homicide by vehicle, driving under the influence of drugs, driving on the wrong side of the roadway, and a violation of probation in the superior court.

The incident unfolded on July 30, on Riggins Mill Road near Herbert Smart Downtown Airport. It was during this time that a Chevrolet Silverado collided with a motorcycle, tragically resulting in the death of the motorcyclist. The victim has been identified as 48-year-old Michael Burnett from Macon.

Following the investigation, authorities swiftly apprehended Hendrix, who is currently being held without bond at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
